Remembering 9/11

I knew exactly where I was when I saw the news. A plane hit the World Trade Center. At first I thought some horrible accident had happened. Then the second plane hit. I knew.

I woke my dad up to the news. Then got dressed and went to the Army recruiter to try and get back in. Denied. Even made it through MEPS.

That was twenty years ago. Seems like yesterday. Like the generation of Pearl Harbor. Or JFK’s assassination. It leaves a mark that to this day gets the warrior inside itching for some retribution.

Tomorrow I’ll be having my show on remembering 9/11 and it’s psychological impact on society. Where are we now?

Tune in Saturday, September 11th at 7 pm est.
